CCB's Alicia Llorente and coworkers from the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at the Institute for Cancer Research recently published in Oncotarget detailed mass spectrometry analyses of exosomes purified from urine of 16 prostate cancer patients and 15 healthy volunteers that revealed upregulation of 221 proteins in the patient samples.
The national competence building project in nanomedicine "Biodegradable nanoparticles in cancer diagnosis and therapy", headed by Professor Kirsten Sandvig, was recently highlighted both in the Norwegian magazine Vitenskap & Historie as well as on the homepage of The Research Council of Norway.
The Norwegian Advanced Light Microscopy Imaging Network, NALMIN, coordinated by Harald Stenmark at Institute for Cancer Research and Centre for Cancer Biomedicine, has been funded by 49.5 MNOK by the Research Council of Norway. This is good news for Norwegian researchers who use light microscopy in their studies.
