Services

We provide users at Oslo University Hospital (OUS), The University of Oslo (UiO), regional Helse Sør-Øst users, as well as external users, with services within super-resolution microscopy, live cell microscopy,  confocal scanning microscopy, wide-field microscopy, laser capture microscopy, and image analysis.

Organization

The previous core facilities for super-resolution microscopy and Confocal microscopy have been combined and are now part of the Core facility for Advanced Light Microscopy as node Gaustad.

This core facility is supported by Helse Sør-Øst and includes two additional nodes located at Radiumhospitalet (Montebello), and the Institute of Experimental Research, Ullevål Hospital.

Location

The Gaustad node is physically located at two separate sites at Rikshospitalet. The first section is located at the Institute for Clinical Medicine in building B1, and the second section is located at the Department of Pathology in building A3. In addition, the laser capture microdissection microscope is located at the Department of Pharmacology in building A3.
