Health Economics, Policy and Management (master's - 2 years)

The Master’s Degree Programme in Health Economics, Policy, and Management is a multidisciplinary programme that encompasses a wide array of courses within Economics, Political Science and Medicine. The programme also allows students to choose between a variety of elective courses within other relevant fields, and provides opportunities for taking some courses abroad. This Master's Degree aims at providing both a broad and relevant academic foundation within its core subject areas, and practical skills for a future career in management in various parts of the health sector.


 

International Community Health (master's - 2 years)

The aim of the programme is to train students in International Community Health research and interventions. The programme will prepare students to participate in community-based health promotion and disease prevention research, and to use the research findings to improve the quality and effectiveness of community health action.


 

Nutrion, Human Rights and Governance

Call for application for studies starting in 2012. One semester (April-August) for master students in human nutrition in Norway and Africa

This programme brings nutrition, human rights and governance theory and practice into an integrated whole. Nutritionists/dietitians and other relevant health and agricultural professionals and researchers are basically ignorant about human rights. The Master programme aims to change this situation in Africa


Medicine

Please note that the Professional Programme in Medicine is taught almost entirely in Norwegian. Only the 9th semester is taught in English.

The study programme in Medicine at the University of Oslo is a six-year professional programme. The candidates become fully licenced physicians after additional 1 1/2 years of internship. About 1300 students are enrolled in this programme. See information in English
