Community medicine research tries to produce knowledge about relations in a society that influence the populations’ likelihood to stay healthy or become sick, and tries to find causes for sicknesses both on individuals and in groups. Knowledge of social and cultural frames in a society is necessary for professional understanding in community medicine.
