The overall aim of this project is to explore how eHealth is developed and integrated in Norwegian basic professional nursing training.

We plan to carry out a nation-wide survey study.
Background
In order to meet some of the most prominent challenges in future health care, nurses must be qualified within the eHealth area. eHealth has been defined as "the use of modern information and communication technologies to meet needs of citizens, patients, healthcare professionals, healthcare providers, as well as policy makers" by the European Commission. The electronic patient record is a tool for ensuring quality, continuity and security for patients.
