Academic interests

I am working as a postdoc in the Autophagy group. The focus of the group is to understand the molecular mechanisms of autophagy, especially in relation to cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. I am interested in understanding the specific roles of a particular set of proteins in these processes. This may provide novel information to treat diseases where autophagy is important, including cancer, obersity and neurodegenerative disorders.

Methods: chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP); ChIP-Seq; recombinant adenoviral technologies; western blot; QRT-PCR, cell culture; mouse models, molecular cloning, protein activity assays, recombinant protein expression.
