How does the brain work ?

We investigate processes in the brains of awake, behaving animals in order to better understand how the brain works in real time, and reveal the mechanisms underlying perception, learning and memory.

Methods

  • In vivo electrophysiology from large populations of neurons.
  • In vivo multiphoton microscopy of structure and activity.
  • Optogenetics.
