Background
Dr Stenehjem holds BSc and MSc degrees in exercise physiology and epidemiology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the University of Verona (Italy). He obtained a PhD in epidemiology and from the University of Oslo (Norway) in 2014.
He currently holds a Researcher position at the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, where he is working on projects within trauma-epidemiology in the IPOT research group. He also holds a guest researcher position at the Department of Biostatistics. In parallel, he holds a tenured Senior Researcher position at the Cancer Registry of Norway where he heads a research group on cancer risk in offshore workers.
