The focus of my research is to find novel dietary means to reduce the risk of chronic disorders, such as type II diabetes, metabolic syndromes, and cancer, coronary heart disease; and to study the mechanisms behind the interactions between dietary factors on cell systems, and genes affecting these diseases. In addition, we are investigating the anti-thrombotic properties of fruits and vegetables using in vitro and ex vivo systems. Our research is aimed to provide novel insight into their effects of dietary components on human health.
