Guest lecture - Roland Seifert

Signaling via non-canonical cyclic nucleotides.

Whereas the cyclic nucleotides cAMP and cGMP are well established second messengers, a potential role of the other cyclic nucleotides cCMP, cUMP and cIMP has remained controversial.

Roland Seifert has had a long-standing interest in cyclic nucleotide signalling and will review this topic and present recent data addressing the potential role of such noncanonical cyclic nucleotides as signalling mulecules.
