Web-based interventions (Balance) (completed)

Internet-based interventions to motivate and support people in reducing their alcohol consumption have shown promising results in many studies internationally.

About the project

Balance is such a programme, primarily aimed at at-risk drinkers. Balance is now being evaluated using effectiveness studies, and studies of uptake and user acceptance.

From SERAF, Professor Fanny Duckert, who initiated the project and has helped in the planning of the Balance programme and the studies, Assistant Professor  Sverre Nesvåg, which has helped in the planning and execution of the studies and Balance, and post-doctoral student, Ayna Johansen, who will help in the reporting phase.

External partners are the AKAN centre, which owns the rights to Balance in Norway.
