NORMENT researchers contribute in new book on cannabis

Monica Aas, Ingrid Melle, and Trine Vik Lagerberg at NORMENT have contributed chapters on cannabis and severe mental illness in a new book entitled Handbook of Cannabis and Related Pathologies.

The book takes an interdisciplinary approach to the understanding of cannabis use and misuse, and gives an overview of many different topics related to its neurological, social, and psychopathological effects.

Researcher Monica Aas and professor Ingrid Melle have written a chapter on childhood trauma and cannabis as risk factors in severe mental disorders (ch. 22, p. 208-214), while researcher Trine Vik Lagerberg has contributed a chapter on cannabis use in bipolar disorder (ch. 43, p. 422-430).
