Do you want to shape your own career, improve your application writing skills or learn more about innovation? The faculty has several career development programmes for those who want to boost their careers.
Both the postdoctoral programme and the School of Health Innovation have several courses that start in the autumn – with registration in the spring.
The postdoctoral programme
The postdoctoral programme is a career development programme that supports the faculty’s postdoctoral fellows and other researchers during the establishment phase.
The programme can help tailor your academic career, and prepare you for complex work within and outside of academia.

Management course 1: Career development
This course focuses on the individual’s situation and career goals, and helps raise awareness of different career options both within and outside of academia. How to make good choices, and how to balance your career and personal life?
Management course 2: Research management and academic supervision
This course teaches you how to organize your own research work and how to be a good research manager. You learn how to start and head a research group, and about supervising of others.
The mentor programme for postdoctoral fellows at MED lasts for a year and takes place in groups of 8-10 participants. In a mentor group you may discuss different career paths, exchange experiences and meet seniors in your field.
Course: External research funding
Do you want to improve your own applications for external funding? This course teaches you how to structure and write applications for external funding, and how a good CV should be designed.
The School of Health Innovation
At the School of Health Innovation you are given tools and knowledge that help you establish your own business or bring your ideas to existing businesses.
Course 2: Entrepreneurship in health care
The main purpose of this course is that you as a researcher meet and learn from entrepreneurs in the life sciences. Topics include how to commercialize research results and how to create a good business plan.
Course 1: Health innovation and entrepreneurship
This course teaches you how to transfer research results to business activities and how to create innovative services in the clinic. You meet leaders in academia, hospitals and health care companies.
