BIOTEK2021 - Digital Life
BIOTEK2021 has announced a call seeking research projects relevant for Center for Digital Life Norway. Deadline: September 12th, 2018.
The Centre for Digital Life Norway is a national centre for biotechnology education, research, and innovation. It is run as a collaborative project by UiO, UiB and NTNU, supported by the Norwegian Research Council.
Biotechnology is understood as the use of natural science and technology on living organisms and parts, products and models of these, so that living or non-living materials is changed to make new knowledge, goods or services.
The research projects needs to answer specific challenges related to existing societal challenges. It is expected that the projects are seen in relation to BIOTEK2021.
The research challenges are expected to have considerable transdisciplinary activity. The projects need to include
- the collection or use of empirical data from experimental, clinical or observational studies
- computational methods
- theoretical and experimental modeling from sciences such as mathematics, informatics, physics or engineering
Available per project: 5-20 million NOK
Duration: 2-4 years
Available in total: 80 million NOK
