Nordforsk - Migration and integration

Nordforsk, nordic research councils and UK Research and Innovation have published a joint call on migration and integration research, including topics relating to health. Deadline prep: November 15th, 2018.

NordForsk, the Academy of Finland, the Swedish Research Council, Forte of Sweden, the Research Council of Norway, RANNIS of Iceland, and the Economic and Social Research Council, part of UK Research and Innovation, have published a joint call  on migration and integration.

Nordic-UK call on migration and integration

The programme welcomes proposals from all research disciplines and encourages inter-disciplinary, intersectional and comparative approaches to both integration and forced and voluntary migration. Comparisons can be made within and between migrant groups and/or with populations in sending, transit and receiving countries.

One of the targeted themes is health and wellbeing among migrants.

Application process

Two-stage process

Pre proposal deadline: November 15th, 2018.
Full proposal deadline: May 3rd, 2019

The consortium must consist of institutions from at least three Nordic countries or two Nordic countries and one from the UK.

Funding

Total available in total: 65 million NOK
Available per project: 13 million NOK
Duration: 4 years
Number of projects: 5-6 Nordic-UK research projects

Significant amount of own financing expected.
