Information to bachelor and master students

Dear students at the Faculty of Medicine,

Due to increased spread of the Covid 19-virus, the city council of Oslo has from Monday 9 November at 24:00 introduced a social lockdown.

We want to emphasize that the university, including libraries and reading rooms, is still open.

The people responsible for the individual study programs will provide more specific information when needed and if there are changes. Therefore, follow My studies and e-mail.

The City Council has forbidden events and cultural and leisure activities indoors. This means that association activities, choirs and orchestras must cancel their activities.

Read more about UiO's updated infection rules here (in Norwegian). These measures will initially last for three weeks.

The faculty will make arrangements for the rest of the semester to be completed in the best possible manner. If you have questions related to teaching or exams, please contact the study consultant at your study program.

We also remind you of the online event on Wednesday 11.11. at 17:00, where researcher Gunnveig Grødeland will talk about the coronary pandemic and the work of finding a vaccine. Invitation to the Zoom meeting has been sent in a separate e-mail.

You will find information about the event on our information page Studienytt The page is regularly updated with news for students at the faculty.

We encourage you to keep in touch with each other via Zoom also outside the scheduled teaching sessions and to take good care of yourself and each other through this difficult time.
