The Centre for Global Health is proud to present its new cross-cutting theme, Gender in global health. The launch of this new initiative is celebrated with an online event in collaboration with Women in Global Health Norway and will highlight community gender equity in health efforts across Africa.

To celebrate the recent Lancet issue on 'Advancing women in global health' and to discuss the next steps and initiatives of the Women in Global Health Norway platform, the Centre for Global Health welcomed  the WGH Norway participants in Oslo for an informal network meeting.

Please be welcome to a meeting in the Women in Global Health Norway network, inspired by and in celebration of the recent issue on 'Women in science, medicine and global health' from The Lancet. The Oslo hub will use this opportunity to discuss the next steps and initiatives of the WGH Norway platform.

As a part of the Oslo Peace Week 2018, the Centre for Global Health co-hosted a dinner seminar on Tuesday 11 December, reflecting on Women, Health, Peace and Prosperity.

The Women in Global Health Norway (WGH Norway) was launched on November 26th, 2018 in Oslo with an impressive academic programme followed by an informal reception. The newly established platform is hosted by the Centre for Global Health (CGH) at the University of Oslo (UiO).

Please be welcome to the launch of Women in Global Health Norway, a national chapter of the global movement Women in Global Health and a platform to connect, further strengthen and advocate for gender equality in global health within academia, public and private sectors.
