Department of Nursing Science

Nursing science contributes to understand more aspects of illness and functional decline within a trajectory of care, knowledge and skills held by nurses, as well as quality and new practice models in health care.
The Department conducts multi-disciplinary research, currently related to professional development, symptom management, user participation, elderly care, and eHealth. Prevention, early intervention, cooperation as well as (re)habilitation are core dimensions.
We offer two master's programs; leading to Master in Nursing Science or Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Geriatric Nursing. Both have lectures in Norwegian.
