My research has been focused on person centred care, digital health, patient safety, health technology assessment and quality of life.
I desire to find and implement safe and sustainable healthcare delivery models globally through co-creation and smart technologies and digital solutions. I have 15 years’ experience in health systems research, and was previously Associate professor working on digital health, AI and ethics, and digital health literacy at the University of South-Eastern Norway, Science Centre for Health and Technology.
At DNV GL, I was leading the project called the Internet of People, where we were exploring the components of trust in digital health. Before moving to Norway, I was the WP leader for EUnetHTA Joint Action WP2 (Communication and Dissemination) in Slovenia, and many other EU projects, and I have extensive experience with HTA implementation on the national and international level.
In my PhD (Univeristy of Oulu, Finland) I was focusing on PROMs- Health related quality of life on elderly diabetic patients, and my MBA (WU-Wien, Austria) is in Healthcare Management. I serve as a Board member at the European Health Management Association, and Polytekniske Forening Helse and am a member of the Expert Council at the Slovenian Digital Health Innovation Lab.
I am a public health delegate for the Emergency Response Unit at the Norwegian Red Cross.
