Academic interests
My academic interests include epidemiology, health registry research, and the use of health data for quality improvement and healthcare services development.
I am particularly interested in data quality, registry methodology, linkage between clinical quality registries and national health registries, and the application of causal models and novel analytical methods. A central aim of my work is to use registry data and research findings to generate knowledge that can contribute to more equitable, integrated, and evidence-based interdisciplinary healthcare services for people with cerebral palsy throughout the life course.
Other areas of interest include health informatics and the use of artificial intelligence and predictive methods in health research.
I am the principal investigator of the research project Journey to Better Care: Enhancing Services for Adults with Cerebral Palsy, funded by the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst) for the period 2026-2031. The project explores how healthcare services for adults with cerebral palsy can become more integrated, evidence-based, and better tailored to individual needs.
