Youth Commission on Global Governance for Health

The Lancet and the University of Oslo has, in conjunction with the Lancet-UIO Commission on Global Governance for Health, decided to establish a Youth Commission in order to facilitate the involvement of students and young academics.

Members of the Youth Commission gathered in Kuala Lumpur for their first meeting.

The past decade has seen an increased interest and involvement in global health issues among students, and they are claiming their place as stakeholders in the global health debates.

The Youth Commission will have two main tasks. The first will be to carry out an independent assessment of global governance for health. The second task will be to serve as an advisory group by continously providing feedback to the Commission's work.
