According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) half the world's population remain without decent health. Despite the promise of digital to accelerate health service delivery across the globe, many people still lack access to essential health services as it is neither available nor affordable. Digital Global Health presents an opportunity for digital transformation where innovative need-solution pairing and entrepreneurial discovery processes make health services accessible, available and affordable and sustainable.
Everywhere, and particularly in the Norwegian context, its “Digital Transformation and Development Policy”, access, skills, regulations and inclusion, are the drivers for development. While digital transformation has reached the industrial sector, the potential in applying digital health for empowering good health and well-being for all (SDG 3) has not reached its potential. Digital inclusion is one of the key drivers for community change, and was accelerated through the COVID-19 pandemic.
This event launching the Digital Global Health Crosscutting Theme will address key issues including information access on the internet, trusted digital health information, and other means to foster empowering resilient communities. Join this live webinar as the theme's leader, Professor Josef Noll and invited speakers discuss and reflect on these contemporary topics:
