Program

The seminar is related to consequences of disrupted screening programs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the seminar, results from two sub-working groups within the Cancer Global Modelling Consortium (CCGMC) will be presented. The COVID-19 and CCGMC brings together the global modelling community to support decision-making in cancer control both during and after the crisis. The aim of the work in the CCGMC group is to help to configure modelling platforms and teams that can provide more informed advice to governments. The group focus on both the longer-term, as well as the shorter-term consequences, recognises that recovery strategies will be required as countries move beyond the acute phase of the crisis.

Two cases will be presented:

COVID 19 and screening for colorectal cancer

Veerle Coupè, Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology and Data Science, Amsterdam UMC, Netherlands

COVID 19 and screening for cervical cancer

Emily Burger, Associate Professor, Department of Health Management and Health Economics, UiO and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Boston, US
