ABINO is one of 8 new Convergence projects funded by UiO: Lifescience

Hybrid Technology Hub PI Hanne Scholz is the leader of ABINO - Artificial Biomimetic systems- the Niche of Islet Organoids, one of 8 new interdisciplinary research groups funded by UiO: LifeScience to address major challenges within health and environment. 

The consortium convenes three Centers of Excellence - Hybrid Technology Hub CoECentre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Rhythm, Time and Motion and Centre for Computing in Science Education, to develop future models for diabetes research by using new strategies for stem cell differentiation.

The project is lead by Hanne Scholz, and also includes HTH PI Simon Rayner and Centre Director Stefan Krauss, and will amongst other things fund two PhD students and one Post Doctoral Research Fellow.

Abino is the second UiO:LifeScience Convergence Enviroment that involves core Hybrid Technology Hub reserachers following CHIP - Organ on a chip and nano-devices
