Opening hours and administrative contacts at IMB during the summer holidays 2019
Under you will find some practical information on opening hours and availability of the different administrative services at the institute during the summer holidays.
Working hours during summer
Employees who are governed by a flexitime scheme with different working hours in the summer and winter, have 7h working days from 15 May to 14 September.
Access to the Domus Medica building
The building is closed 24 June to 4 august. This means that you need to use your access card and code to get in. It also means that you have to fetch guests and visitors by the main entrance.
If you get locked in the buildings or have problems with your UiO access card, please contact the Security Operation Center that is staffed around the clock, year round.
Until 17 July the main reception desk at IMB is open as usual. From 18 July to 13 August the main reception desk will be closed (open for package reception only 18 July - 4 August)
Applications for affiliation to IMB will be handled with temporary accesses. Contact email@example.com for enquiries about this.
The local reception desk are closed 17 July - 13 August (dept of nutrition), 8 July - 2 August (dept of behavioural sciences and dept of biostatistics), 30 July - 11 august (division of biochemistry). Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for all enquiries during those periods.
There are no module coordinators on site for the professional study programme in medicine from 11 July to 26 July. There are no study advisors on site for the Master's programme in clinical nutrition from 3 July to 1 August. During those periods enquiries can be sent to email@example.com
HR and HSE
HR is staffed during the whole month of July. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for all enquiries during this period, the person on site will answer to your request.
The Health, safety and the environment (HSE) coordinator will be available on site from 8 July. E-mails to email@example.com will be attended to during the whole summer.
Finance and purchases
The administrative functions for research support, project finances and refund/invoices will be staffed during the summer holidays. During their holidays the staff will update their automatic out of office reply with information about alternative contact persons. Since the staff is alternating for each other, you should expect a bit more waiting time for your requests than during the rest of the year.
Purchasing coordinator is out of office 1-5 July and 29 July - 2 August. Procurement processes for purchases over 100.000kr (excl. VAT) must be planned outside those periods.
The electronic workshop is closed from 1 to 26 July.
The mechanical workshop is closed from 15 to 19 July.
The photo service is closed 1 to 12 July.

The institute's communication advisor and web publisher is not available from 1 July to 2 August.
