Chromatin states organise transcription factor co-binding networks during brain development
Developmental cell fate is controlled by transcription factors (TFs) acting in combinatorial regulatory networks, yet the principles governing their organisation remain poorly understood. These networks are commonly inferred by searching accessible regulatory elements for TF binding motifs. However, motifs frequently fail to predict binding in vivo, while accessible chromatin comprises multiple epigenetically distinct environments. How chromatin states influence TF network organisation remains unclear.
