David Tremethick will present: "Linking genome structure with function: a journey of histone variant discovery".
David Tremethick has focused on understanding the mechanism(s) by which chromatin regulates DNA-dependent processes to control cell function and fate by studying histone variants. His laboratory has established many new techniques to study chromatin structure (e.g. establishing the first in vitro chromatin assembly system employing recombinant histones and a range of structural and biophysical approaches), and chromatin function (by employing a range of different model organisms).
