Welcome to the first of IMBs Distinguished seminar series, where the renowned neuroinformatics researcher Sean Hill will hold the lecture In silico neuroscience: Integration, Synthesis and Emergence.

How do physical processes in our brains generate our experiences?  Why are we not zombies?  Why do certain brain processes produce consciousness while others don’t?  Can machines be conscious?  These fundamental questions will be addessed by professor Christof Koch, a pioneer in consciousness research, in his lectures at Blindern.
