The Intervention Centre
The Intervention Centre was established by the Norwegian parliament in 1996. The department is situated at Rikshospitalet.
The Intervention Centre has the following tasks:
- Develop new procedures
- Develop new treatment strategies
- Compare new and existing strategies
- Optimizing and development of advanced imaging techniques
- Study the social, economic, and organisational consequences of new procedures on health care
- Administration of radiation protection for all departments in the hospital
