Who are we?
Our consortium consists of:
- Clinical scientists in neuro-medicine and dementia.
- Neuroimaging scientists in radiology, medical physics, nuclear medicine.
- Basic neuroscientists within in vivo rodent imaging.
- Scientists in mathematics, pharmacokinetic modeling and statistics.
The partners of the center have collaborated closely during the last decade and are in the international interdisciplinary and translational scientific forefront of bringing new knowledge on brain fluids into clinical medicine.
This unique consortium are pioneers in novel human imaging of brain-wide extravascular solute transport and blood-based biomarkers of cerebrospinal fluid-to-blood clearance.
The KG Jebsen Centre for Brain Fluid Research consolidates our interdisciplinary research group, to further bridge the gap between basic and clinical neuroscience.
Our vision
We are currently at the doorstep of a new era where translational brain fluid research likely will foster significant breakthroughs in diagnostics and treatment of a wide range of brain diseases, such as neurodegenerative and neuro-inflammatory diseases, brain cancer and cerebral bleeds.
