«It is a great honour to be recognized by Nordic colleagues in this manner», Karlsen says. «We have a great team in Oslo, and I have been privileged to work with many distinguished researchers worldwide, so the achievements for which the award is given is to be considered a joint effort, and not something I have accomplished on my own.»
