GMO-waste at NCMM

All GMO sources must be contained and the waste disposed of properly. The waste must be classified and risk-assessed for health- and environmental hazards.

Genetic modification may both decrease and increase containment level. Work with eg. virus must be risk-assessed for additional containment measures before use. All laboratories at NCMM are locked with restricted access. General safety precautions and containment measures for laboratory levels 1 and 2 are valid.
