This seminar series features presentations detailing structural biology research currently underway at the University of Oslo.

Dr. Eva Maria Novoa, Group Leader of the Epitranscriptomics and RNA Dynamics Group at the Centre for Genomic Regulation, Barcelona, Spain, will present the lecture "Elucidation of RNA structure dynamics using second- and third-generation sequencing technologies."

The 9th Nordic EMBL Partnership Meeting will be hosted by NCMM in Oslo.

Dr. Zoll will give the talk, "Trypanosomes' magic bullet - Understanding the structural basis of SRA-mediated immune escape in Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense"

Dr. Javier Gutiérrez-Fernández, postdoc in Leonid Sazanov’s group at IST (Institute of Science and Technology) Austria, will give a guest lecture titled, "Insights into the structure and mechanism of bacterial proteins and complexes"

Dr. Valentina Boeva, Group Leader at the Institut Cochin, Paris, France, will present the lecture entitled "Discovery of two epigenetic states of neuroblastoma cells via the analysis of super-enhancer landscape."

Professor Frank Sobott, Chair of Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry at the Astbury Centre, University of Leeds, will give the talk titled, "Dynamic protein structure: from protein disorder to membrane pores"

Dr. Mika Rämet, of PEDEGO research unit, University of Oulo, Finland, will give a talk titled, "Zebrafish as a model to study Mycobacterial infection". 

Ankur Garg, PhD, will give a talk titled, "Structural and functional analysis of ribonuclease ZC3H12C mediated regulation of immune responses"

M.Sc. Julia-Kristina Jensen Madsen-Østerbye will be defending the thesis titled, "Studies of hematopoiesis – physiologic and malignant development"

M.Sc. Julia-Kristina Jensen Madsen-Østerbye, NCMM, will give the trial lecture titled, "iPSC derived Haematopoietic Stem Cells - mechanisms and clinical potential"

Marieke Kuijjer, of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard T.H. School of Public Health, will give a talk titled: "Understanding cancer using integrative network models"

Dr. Leonardo Bottolo, Reader in Statistics for Biomedicine, Dept of Medical Genetics, University of Cambridge, will present his research on "A global-local approach for detecting eQTL hotspots in ultra-high multiple response regressions".

Dr. Albin Sandelin, Professor, The Bioinformatics Centre, Department of Biology & BRIC, Copenhagen University, Denmark, will present the lecture entitled "The enhancer and promoter landscape of inflammatory bowel disease".

Leading international experts will present some of the latest research in the field of cancer genomics.
