RSG Norway Panel talk

RSG Norway invites you to a panel discussion on career opportunities for bioinformaticians in and beyond academia

We have invited panelists who will share experience in their career path with the audience. The panelist include:
  • Marieke Kuijjer (NCMM): a group leader at NCMM since 2018. Her group is focusing on computational tools development to model gene regulation network rewiring in cancer. Marieke is also a faculty advisor for RSG-Norway.

  • Odd-Arne Olsen (NMBU): a plant molecular biologist with work experience in plant developmental biology in academia in Norway and commercial plant biotechnology in the USA.

  • Oleg Agafonov (DNV): a researcher in the R&D. He is developing new assurance methods and roles to support the trustworthy adoption of novel medical technologies such as AI-powered devices and NGS-based diagnostics.

  • Annbjørg Barbakken (OUS): a researcher in the Bioinformatics Core Facility at the Institute for Cancer Research, focusing on single cell analysis and somatic variant calling in tumor samples.

  • Federico Bianchini (UiO): a computational physicist turned data steward in the life sciences

After the main discussion we will have a Q&A session.
 
At the end of the panel discussion pizza will be served and there will be an opportunity for mingling and networking.
