Cand.psychol. Runar Elle Smelror at Institute of Clinical Medicine will be defending the thesis “Cognitive and clinical characteristics in adolescent non-affective early-onset psychosis and healthy controls” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

Årets hovedpris går til Professor Carl-Henrik Heldin, Uppsala universitet. Prisen til yngre forskere deles mellom Dr. Jenny Mjösberg ved Karolinska Institutet og Dr. Lars Tjelta Westlye ved Universitetet i Oslo og Oslo universitetssykehus.

Bipolarforeningen arrangerer i samarbeid med NORMENT og Rådet for psykisk helse en temakveld med fokus på skam.

Gerard Dwyer disputerer for ph.d.-graden ved Universitetet i Bergen med avhandlingen: “New Approaches to the Use of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy for Investigating the Pathophysiology of Auditory-Verbal Hallucinations.”

Arendalsuka er en årlig nasjonal arena hvor aktører innenfor politikk, samfunns- og næringsliv møter hverandre og folk, for debatt og utforming av politikk for nåtid og framtid. NORMENT og SERAF deltar i år på Arendalsuka med arrangementet "Ensomhet: Den glemte faktor i psykisk helsearbeid?".

MSc Saurabh Srinivasan at Institute of Clinical Medicine will be defending the thesis “A Polygenic Enrichment Approach to Human Evolution in Schizophrenia and Cognitive Function” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

Cand.med. Trude Seselie Jahr Vedal at Institute of Clinical Medicine will be defending the thesis “The side effect burden of antipsychotic drugs - A naturalistic study with focus on metabolic disturbance” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

NORMENT inviterer til åpent kveldsseminar om forskning på schizofreni og bipolar lidelse. Hva vet vi om årsakene til at noen blir syke? Hvordan spiller arv og miljø sammen i utviklingen av slike lidelser?

Cand.med. Nathalia Zak at Institute of Clinical Medicine will be defending the thesis “A longitudinal investigation of cortical plasticity and structure in bipolar disorder type II” for the degree of PhD (Philosophiae Doctor).

MD Eva Z. Hoseth at Institute of Clinical Medicine will be defending the thesis "Aberrant TNF and Notch signaling pathways in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder" for the degree of PhD.

MD Eva Zsuzsanna Hoseth at Institute of Clinical Medicine will give a trial lecture on the given topic: "Microbiota and mental health, implications for clinical practice".

Cand.med. Erlend Strand Gardsjord ved Institutt for klinisk medisin vil forsvare sin avhandling for graden philosophiae doctor (ph.d.): Subjective quality of life in first episode psychosis - A 10-year follow-up study.

Cand.med. Erlend Strand Gardsjord ved Institutt for klinisk medisin avholder prøveforelesning over oppgitt emne: Early interventions in psychosis: State of the art.
