This is not a nominal sum, but a significant allocation of €12 million spanning four years, in tandem with nine of Europe’s preeminent institutions. This funding marks a pivotal juncture, allowing us to transition from a preliminary exploratory stage to a robust phase of expansion, consolidation, and amplification of our joint academic ventures.
As we navigate this forthcoming phase, Circle U. has delineated several strategic imperatives:
- Sustainability Paradigms for Contemporary Academia: We will introduce multidisciplinary modules accentuating sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals, meticulously curated for Bachelor students.
- Masters' Programmes of Distinction: The horizon will see the advent of three joint master’s programmes with focal points in Democracy, Global Health, and Climate.
- Diverse Pedagogical Formats: Our educational blueprint will expand incorporating a variety of formats – from rigorous summer schools and open courses to immersive, challenge-based learning experiences. Additionally, modules designed to enhance linguistic proficiency and intercultural acumen will be introduced.
All these advancements will be seamlessly integrated into our state-of-the-art platform – the Circle U. Open Campus.
The Circle U. alliance is intrinsically linked with the objectives and ethos of the strategic plan of SUSTAINIT. The overarching emphasis on sustainability, coupled with focused arenas in global health, democracy, and climate, resonates deeply with SUSTAINIT's academic priorities. Notably, SUSTANIT's invaluable contributions have been instrumental in this achievement – with Dr. Tony Sandset from SHE, and myself, overseeing the successful international writing team.
We can't wait to further ignite our educational journey, bridging borders and disciplines for a sustainable future.
