Maternal health and nutrition education (completed)

Most community based interventions have failed due to lack of application of right theories and contextual issues to the design. This will be an intervention trial, we will apply evidence from effective interventions and contextual issues to design and implement the intervention.  It will be RCT intervention.

About the project

Poor birth outcomes of Low Birth Weight (LBW) are an important index of poor maternal health and nutrition status during pregnancy. Effective nutrition counseling and educational Interventions are required for improved maternal health and the birth outcomes.

Objectives

  1. Validate the effectiveness of this evidence based intervention.
  2. Find the effects of the intervention on maternal health and birth outcomes

Background

The review of theory application and systematic review of the effective interventions will help in the development of the model and the designing of this intervention (application of ground theory). We will used mixed Methods
