Academic interests
My research focuses on the development and application of statistical and computational tools for the analysis of microbial genomes. Previously, I completed my PhD at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and the University of Cambridge. My PhD project focused on investigating the within-host genetic diversity and transmission of Streptococcus pneumoniae and briefly SARS-CoV-2. Prior to this, I worked on Malaria investigating the major virulence factor PfEMP1 in Plasmodium falciparum .
