Background
Studied Electrical Engineering at the TU Dresden in the field of Precision-/Micro- and Biomedical Engineering and graduated with a diploma degree in 2009. From 2010 to 2013 Scientific associate at the Institute for Medical Biotechnology at the TU Berlin and Fraunhofer IWS in Dresden and continued to work at Fraunhofer until 2018. Doctorate at the Institute of Solid State Electronics at the TU Dresden (Modelling und regulation of nutrient supply in microfluidic cell culture devices). From 2018 to 2020 postdoctoral fellow at the chair of Microsystems at TU Dresden.
Awards
- 2017: Fraunhofer-Institute award for innovative product development.
- 2018: European EARTO Innovation Award (3rd place) for Multi-Organ-Chip developments
- 2019: Scientia II fellowship (Marie-Curie co-fund project).
