Academic interests

My main research interest is unraveling the regulatory mechanisms of autophagy termination, using Drosophila as a model.

I am currently a part of the FINALphagy project, which focuses on developing innovative genetic and computational tools to quantify and manipulate the temporal dynamics of autophagy across whole organisms. The project aims to elucidate key mechanisms underlying autophagy termination in individual cells within tissues and to investigate how these processes are interconnected with systemic signaling pathways and behavioral changes.

Background

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Kristiania University College, a Bachelor's degree in Bioscience from the University of Oslo, and a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Oslo.

  • 2021–2023: MSc in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, University of Oslo
  • 2018–2021: BSc in Bioscience, University of Oslo
  • 2015–2018: BSc in Nutrition, Kristiania University College
