About the group

Our research group is dedicated to studying neurotrauma, with a focus on spinal cord injuries. We explore the physiological, cellular, and molecular mechanisms underlying the process of recovery after such injuries.

By unraveling these complex mechanisms, our aim is to gain valuable insights that support the development of innovative therapeutic strategies, ultimately promoting effective recovery outcomes. Additionally, we leverage cutting-edge technology to create advanced solutions that aim to replace lost functions resulting from spinal cord injuries.

Our work encompasses fundamental research, as well as the development of medical devices, all with the ultimate goal of advancing our findings to clinical trials. By bridging the gap between basic research and practical applications, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals affected by spinal cord injuries.
