Awards for best article

The award for best article is given by an independent jury of three people appointed by the Throne Holst Foundation, and consists of:

  • Research funding for the research group: NOK 100,000
  • Personal award to the first author: NOK 10,000

Evaluation criteria

  • Relevance to nutrition research.
  • Originality.
  • Scientific quality and methodological rigor.
  • Publication in an international journal.

Research conducted at the Department of Nutrition includes many types of studies: cell studies, animal studies, clinical studies, epidemiological studies, and intervention studies. All study types will be evaluated equally. The jury should strive for some variation in winners across the department’s sections, and the same research group cannot win two years in a row.
