Background and Objectives

The increasing complexity and the evolving nature of recent public health questions impose new challenges that cannot be addressed by existing evidence synthesis approaches.

The ERC-funded project KaLeIDO-CARE will develop a novel knowledge synthesis framework to enable considering jointly the totality of evidence and accounting for all important factors affecting guidelines and global health policies.

This will be achieved through the development of new statistical methods integrating data across diverse populations, interventions and outcomes, while implementing artificial intelligence tools to facilitate communication of the findings and promote transparency, open science and research collaboration.

Starting with a proof of concept on hypertension, the project will move evidence-based medicine towards more comprehensive and reliable recommendations for every population and every individual.
