About the project
Between 40-90% of their newborn babies are registered with NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome), and there are still many unanswered questions about the cause of NAS and the children's and OMT families' future psychosocial and cognitive development.
The joint project includes both retrospective (1996-2009) and prospective (2005-2007) surveys.
From SERAF, the participants are PhD student and psychologist Monica Sarfi, along with PhD student and community psychologist Ingunn Olea Lund, PhD student and doctor Gabrielle Welle-Strand and Professor Svetlana Skurtveit.
From EKUP, in the Department of Psychology at the University of Oslo, the participants are PhD student and psychologist Carolien Konijnenberg and Professor Annika Melinda.
