The Skills Centre is a place where you—either individually or, preferably, together with other students—can practice practical skills throughout your studies. Training is aligned with the learning objectives of each semester and also provides opportunities for repetition and self-directed learning.
We use evaluation forms and conduct studies to assess how newly implemented teaching methods affect learning outcomes. We have also developed e-learning resources for all our courses.
In addition, we have developed ultrasound teaching for medical students, and approximately 18,000 student visits to the Skills Centre occur each year for self-practice.
The Faculty of Medicine employs 18 student instructors in 20% positions to assist with the daily operation of the centre, including teaching activities.
