Education and experience

I am a medical student at the University of Oslo, currently enrolled in the “Medical Student Research Programme”; which enables me to work in research and start my PhD. in parallel with following the medical studies otherwise. This is through a project with Charlotte Boccara’s labgroup, building upon two summer-internships in the same lab the years prior.

Research interests and tasks

I have a great interest for neuroscience in general, and development specifically, inspired by the vast amount of unanswered questions in these fields. I believe understanding how the brain changes early in life and matures into it’s final function is fundamental to tackling neurodevelopmental disorders as well as other neuropsychiatric disorders as a whole.

My current project is related to social cognitive development and the neural substrates for hippocampus-derived social memory and -novelty preference. It belongs to the group’s investigation into the effects of disturbed sleep during formative years.
