Position: Senior Engineer

Presentation
I have a background in molecular biology from the Institute of Biosciences at the University of Oslo and completed my PhD at the Institute for Experimental Medical Research, Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål, in June 2020. Since August 2020, I have worked as an engineer at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences.
In addition to my current position as a senior engineer, I have also taken on the roles of safety representative and fire safety contact for my section. Experiences from my own day-to-day work, my previous life as a researcher, and these roles have revealed a number of challenges and opportunities within the university system that I would like to continue working on. I see the Faculty Board as an excellent forum for raising these issues.
Key elements of election programme
- Work to ensure early and meaningful user involvement in the development and adoption of new systems and procedures.
- Promote good practices for training and follow-up of relevant departments/users during implementation processes.
- Make relevant UiO regulations clearer and more visible to all employees, with the aim of making everyday work more predictable and secure.
