Position: Senior Adviser
Workplace: Centre for Cancer Cell Reprogramming, Institute of Clinical Medicine
Presentation
I started working at the University of Oslo first in research (2010–2023) and in recent years in administration (since 2024). With a PhD in molecular biology and experience in the research environment, I have a strong understanding of the conditions necessary for research and the administrative frameworks required to support it.
As a Senior Adviser at CanCell Centre of Excellence, I would bring extensive research administrative experience to the Faculty Board. My experience includes work with the Faculty of Medicine’s two institutes, Klinmed and IMB, as well as collaborations with IBV at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and external partners such as Oslo University Hospital (OUS).
My role as centre manager for CanCell has provided me with valuable insight and broad expertise in research administration, financial management, HR processes and the ability to navigate among multiple administrative environments across faculties, institutes and organizational boundaries. Altogether, this has given me extensive research administrative experience that I would like to contribute to the Faculty Board.
Key elements of election programme
I value positive working environment, constructive collaboration and clear communication. The tech-admin staff group is an important resource and serves as a important link between research, teaching and administration. For me, it is particularly important to ensure that the tech-admin staff group’s needs and perspectives are visible and considered when major decisions are made regarding operations, resource allocation and organizational structure.
As a representative, I would focus on:
- ensure that technical and administrative perspectives are reflected in the Faculty’s strategic priorities
- promote the need for clear roles, routines and processes that improves work efficiency, strengthen the organization and supports a positive working environment for both researchers and staff
- promote the need for skills development and professional growth among tech-admin staff.
