It is with great sadness that we share that Dr. Ricardo Thompson passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Dr. Thompson was a dedicated parasitologist and a neglected tropical disease expert, who served the World Health Organization and the National Institute of Health in Mozambique in multiple instrumental and leadership capacities over the years. He was a dear colleague whose time with us and in our commission has been deeply valued. Dr. Thompson is survived by his wife and two children. Our thoughts are with them. May Dr. Ricardo Thompson rest in peace.
