ChroMet is an interdisciplinary research consortium dedicated to unraveling the complex, bidirectional interactions between epigenetic and metabolic regulation, with emphasis on development, adaptation, and disease.
By integrating molecular and cell biology, bioinformatics and structural biology approaches, our mission is to define how metabolic states shape the epigenome, and how epigenetic mechanisms in turn govern gene expression, cellular homeostasis and differentiation, and whole-organism physiology. Understanding epigenetic mechanisms will enable us to identify aberrations that contribute to diseases, including cancer.
